CFAES Update: College leadership has established standards and guidelines for when mileage and parking is eligible for reimbursement during telework. These CFAES standards are to be used by all college employees until further notice from leadership.
CFAES Business Standard: Telework is described as working remotely from any personal (non-University) location. Telework schedules can be on a consistent, hybrid or intermittent basis. If an employee is teleworking from any personal location and uses their vehicle for some types of business purposes, then mileage and parking may not be eligible for reimbursement (see below). If a specific circumstance is not addressed, then employees should seek clarification from CFAES fiscal staff prior to requesting reimbursement.
CFAES Ground Transportation Log: In January 2022, the college implemented an updated “CFAES Ground Transportation Log.” This updated log captures required telework information. Employees must transition to this updated form. Use of a previous log may result in returning it to the traveler. The updated “CFAES Ground Transportation Log” is located on the CFAES Finance website at https://cfaesfinance.osu.edu/forms-requests/cfaes-ground-transportation-log
